Which Halloween skull should I get for my dining table decor? Hi all. I've found this site by chance. It's so surprise that it contains many Halloween skulls that I can get for my friends and myself.
What is your opinion? I want to pick the most interesting piece to display in the center of dining table. yowza replied: "I liked the one in the second link."
wolf lady replied: "i think the last one is the scariest looking." wedding reception head table decor with lights, drapes DIYinstructions? how do I create backdrops of lights and drapes, behind the head table for reception
Send ideas ans pictures Jill W replied: "Check with your local rental shop - they will have a variety of draperies, etc. that you can rent. Use hook and loop tape to attach the draperies to the wall. Small, all white Christmas tree lights can be used effectively in this situation." Are pumpkins tacky for table decor for a fall wedding?? Just wondering if that would be bad or if people would be like whattt??? My wedding is for next October and was thinking that I would have pumpkins on the table. YouWish25 replied: "I don't think so. I actually really like that idea. As long as they are done in a elegant way and not a "hey, it's halloween or a kid's birthday party" way, then it's fine."
MUA replied: "I think if you used small pumpkins as vases for flowers and ribbon in your color theme, it would be kind of cute."
Anna K replied: "Beautiful idea.
I simply adore pumpkins.
=)"
greeneyes_bjb replied: "Not at all! As long as they're real pumpkins (or authentic looking fakes) and not some cheesy-looking fake ones. You could either leave them plain and arrange them with fall leaves and perhaps fall flowers, have someone paint them with your names or your monogram (make sure it's done by a professional so it looks elegant and doesn't look cheesy), use them as vases, or you could use them as candle holders and have them carved like jack-o-lanterns, BUT in an elegant way (the only problem with this is that they'd need to be carved the day of the wedding or the night before, or they will start to get mushy).
Here are some examples:
"
Penny Lane replied: "I think if you make it autumn related and don't make it kid like (don't carve faces into them, no candy, etc.) it would be very elegant.
Pumpkins are a huge part of fall and they are a beautiful vegetable.
Include them in some center piece with colorful leaves or other squash."
Rixie replied: "Not at all. I've seen some amazing centerpieces done with pumpkins. You can put flowers in them or carve them into luminaries"
Doctor Cupid replied: "Use small pumpkins, and apply brown and plum and green flowers around the small one and it will look nice and elegant and totally expensive, but secretly it's not! Enjoy!"
vanschick1 replied: "I think that's an awesome idea! If you're just trying to picture it, here are some pictures:
You could even use them as the "vase" for your centerpiece! "
science chick replied: "I think they would be lovely and appropriate for the season. If people don't like it, then well. Its just a centerpiece, they will survive.THey probably won't be too expensive either. Make sure you clean them well, and get something else to put around them, like different colored/shaped gourds.
Don't cut them, even if you make lovely and appropriate jack-o-lanterns or vases (which it doesn't sound like you will be attempting), they will smell. Pumpkin is not entirely unplesant, but you never want to have anything smelly (even nice smelly) around when people are eating."
teaconnoisseur replied: "I like the idea. maybe try a big variety of sizes and shapes and use lighting that would create the mood you want. I don't know your colors, but fall colors are beautiful in weddings and mixed with maroon and deep purple decor, the orange pumpkins would be gorgeous. I'd suggest bringing in some tree limbs with fall colors, as well. Good luck."
bachelorette replied: "great idea"
Nikki M replied: "It depends how you do it. For a fall wedding it could look GORGEOUS> try theknot.com see if you can find some pictures of how peoplehavee done it in the past. You could also try using some gourds too. adding some more colours so it's not just orange.
but no, not tacky at all."
PugMom replied: "I think pumpkins would be a great idea. Especially if, maybe, they were used to hold flowers."
Tonnina replied: "they could be a really nice touch. if you have youngsters joining in on the celebrations and the pumpkins are real you could give them away as favors so they can carve them!
Wow, you know you just gave me an Idea. My wedding is in October of this year and it's 6 days before Halloween I bet I can find some super cute decorations... I never thought of that! Neato!"
slm4jesus replied: "i like it."
mrs m replied: "scope out the pumpkin insides and fill with flowers and leaves"
megzstar22 replied: "I've seen some example pictures of using pumpkins, and I think it looks pretty tacky. To me it doesn't put out a classy vibe, its more of a country looking theme. Try some other fall options like some elegant looking fall colored flowers with some fall leaves."
jwls319 replied: "Actually you are not the only one who would have a fall/pumpkin decor, here is a link that tells you everything you would need to have an elegant fall/pumpkin wedding...

We are doing big fish bowls in the center with chinese fighting fish that match our color scheme and rocks to match with submersible lights to light them up. We may do some rose petals on the table as well.. not sure about any other decorations yet, I may post my own question on that! lol
good luck and congrats!"
Jamaican Princess replied: "You can do your chair covers and table cloths in ivory......and you can add an torquoise over lay or a runner on it. to match the turquoise sahses...all these things plus floralytes you can rent through me...You can use floral lytes in ostrich feather centerpieces, you can rent vases and and put the blue rocks in them and have the floraltyes to glow in them, and if you would like to flowers to them on the top. you can place water in the vases instead and add blue food coloring ot it, and add floating candles or even the floraltyles, and the heads of flowers in them. there's so many ideas you can play with here." what are good ideas for decorating a small business meeting, table snacks, table decor, etc.? it is for the american correctional association. we are being accredited. for maybe twenty people. have to provide breakfast and snack trays and drinks. it is in the wardens confrence room. pretty small room. doctor99 replied: "Ideas, Ideas and Ideas"

Note pads, pens, water and glasses, coffee and tea making facilities, toilets, overhead projectors, white boards, microphones and your inner power to sell. Maybe a CLI413TR acccompanied by a AGC???"
heartbroken replied: "it's almost spring...go with pastel colors and spring flowers...really would need the time of day for list of snacks. Would like to help you more..please add more info."
munchies replied: "Need more details. What type of meeting, casual or ?, were it is located, and how many tables are you going to have?"
ph62198 replied: "consultation starts at $30,000"
lady_in_red_811 replied: "Because it is a small room, I suggest a small table in a corner of the room. Put out a punch bowl (obviously with punch -- non-alcoholic) and some coffee, and hot water for tea. Get a tray with some finger sandwiches or donuts or cookies . . . and set that there.
Use a theme color to decorate with -- for table clothes, plates, napkins, etc.
And place a few flowers or plant in center of meeting table -- you don't want to take up too much room with your decor -- so keep it simple. Maybe red, white, and blue, with a patriotic themed centerpiece -- that's always in style.
Just remember to keep it simple -- it's a meeting -- not a meal." table decor with corn husks? have you seen any table decorations using corn husks onlline?
What do you think of this idea? - fill a big glass vase with corn husks and keep as a centerpiece?
Im not a fan of baskets cos they collect a lot of dust...I prefer glass and ceremic Rottie Mom replied: "Sounds good to me, but you might like to throw in a few ears of corn, or maybe a few small gourds, to give it some color. Corn husks are a nice tan color, but would be pretty boring all by themselves. A rustic basket might work better with the husks than a glass vase. Lay the husks in the basket and arrange the corn or gourds over the husks. ."
dmX replied: "sounds cool, paint up the corn husks in fall colors, red, orange, yellow, beige...add some accents, like dried tree branches, hehe"
pedro dagandagan replied: "pile the husks and tie tightly with tie-wire at both ends.
cut to divide into two at the center. spread the husk to open. color red with paint spray or orange or yellow. add contrast color to make accent color. otherwise glue the corn hair into cotton ball and attach at the center point.
attach to twigs or bamboo stick (paint brown or green) to stand as a flower in your vase with bottom filled with white rocks. use 1 leaf of husk and spray paint with green to represent the leaf.
with the corn cob, it is nice to turn it into water lily flower or the stylus of the anthorium flower." I need ideas for an evening wedding. It will be outside by a lake.i need table decor ideas? i was thinking of candles and lighted trees. ale replied: "It all depends what your into. That sounds very nice."
candy g replied: "you will be having the lake sprayed for midges and all those little flies right.????
that net lighting [little white lights on mesh] work great on the trees and you can pull colour into the tables by adding what ever colour you would like."
I love my AGGIE!! replied: "That actually sounds perfect! That's what I would use." table decor question for someone that's crafty..? I hope I did that right....there are purple lanterns on the table with personal photos...does anyone know how I can get transparent photos like that?
Thank you :) I'm not sure if I should post in another section. ♥shop♥ replied: "go to walgreens or another photo store and see if they have any suggestions for special paper to buy. Also, some cardstock paper could work or get some 'overhead/transparrency' sheets.
hope this helps!"
befuddled replied: "I would suggest taking the photos you want into a print shop and see what they would recommend. If they aren't able to do it, then maybe they will be able to tell you who could. This is such a cute idea! You may also want to post this under hobbies and crafts. Good luck!"
Buffey replied: "If you're handy with a computer you can do it.
Purchase velum (vellum?) paper for your printer. Print out the photos you want to use, it looks like they did them in sepia or grayscale. Then purchase picture mats (from a framing shop or someplace like Michaels), tape the photos to the back side of the mats, then tape the matted photos together, using a strip of tape on the inside kinda like a hinge so it is hidden. I'd use a battery operated candle to illuminate, as they would be a fire hazard."
chrisag523 replied: "It almost looks like you use 3 photo frames (painted wood or plastic) and attach them at the corners, add photos. For the light, perhaps a tea light candle in a glass votive holder (low flame) or one of those battery tea lights.
For the photos, they look like sepia tone pictures printed on transparency paper or velum.
